# Welcome Offer for Credit Unions

> A credit-union-specific Welcome Offer program type with focused business events, defaults, and creative elements.

## Overview

The **Welcome Offer for Credit Unions** program builds on Extole’s standard Welcome Offer experience, but is tailored specifically for credit unions. It includes credit-union-focused business events, intelligent default rules, and creative adjustments so marketers can launch a welcome offer quickly and effectively.

## Participant Journey

When a new member arrives at your website, they’ll see a promotion inviting them to participate in the welcome offer. After clicking the promotion, they’ll open a simple signup flow that gives them all the details they need. Typically, a new member must complete qualifying activities within a set timeframe (e.g. 90 days) in order to earn the welcome reward. These qualifying activities include:

* Account Opening
* Direct Deposit
* Debit Card Usage

Once these actions are recorded and eligibility and safety checks pass, the member is marked as qualified and the program issues the reward - usually an account credit or a gift card. Reminder emails help keep participants informed and encourage them to complete their remaining steps.
